We stayed at Gore cottage in August 2018 and had a really special week, feeling as if we had stepped back in time. My daughter was mortified when she learned that there would be no internet. It was in fact the best thing that could have happened. We played cards, walked and read several of the many wonderful books that were abundant there. The cottage is nestled in the prettiest of gardens. Our two dogs were fascinated by the sheep that grazed in the adjacent field and loved the walks through the undulating hills and coastal routes as much as we did. The local pubs provided a great choice of tasty foods, excellent cider and friendly company. We would love to return to the area and wouldn’t hesitate to choose Gore cottage again.read more

F.A.Q

Do you accept dogs?

We do accept dogs by arrangement: £15 to £25 per dog

How do we book?

Please see our Accommodation page for booking information.

What are your rates?

Please check our Accommodation page for further information about rates & availability along with reservation information.

Does Gore Cottage have Wi-Fi & Freeview?

There is no TV (because of the very poor reception) and no broadband or signal for mobile phones or internet access but there is a land line telephone for incoming and outgoing calls. Gore is an ideal place for a retro holiday and just the place to be ‘unplugged’.

Are BBQs allowed?

Due to the roof being a thatched roof, we would simply ask for no BBQs to eliminate the risk of any fire.
