Gore Cottage sleeps five, plus a cot: upstairs there are two double rooms, one with a double bed, the other with two singles, and a single room downstairs, which is the room with the telephone.
The compact bathroom (with full sized bath and basin) is downstairs, off the kitchen which is an ideal arrangement for people with young families. The kitchen is large enough to eat in and the separate WC and washbasin are also downstairs; there is another WC in the thatched garden shed.
The sitting room is separate with a multi-fuel stove and a good selection of books, games, cards and puzzles as well as maps and guidebooks and some toys. Outdoor toys are in the WC side of the thatched shed. The cottage is fully equipped and all the appliances are electric: cooker, microwave, fridge and automatic washing machine.
Pillows, blankets and eiderdowns are provided, sheets, pillow cases and towels.
Parking for two cars at the end of the lane.
There is then a walk of about 100 yards along the footpath, across the footbridge (ideal for Pooh Sticks!) over the stream (the Mangerton River), to get to the cottage.
The housekeeper lives nearby.
